In 2004 there were five churches in Audenshaw
The churches were:
St Stephen C of E at the junction of Audenshaw Road and Guide Lane
St Hilda’s at the Denton boundary on Denton Road
Bridge Street URC off Guide Lane
Guide Lane Wesleyan Chapel on Guide Lane
Red Hall Methodists on Audenshaw Road.
Just across the Ashton boundary is St Paul’s Roman Catholic church which is linked to the Audenshaw Council of Churches.
During 2004 the two Methodist Churches and the United Reformed Church came together and now meet on the Red Hall site, and a new building is under construction.
We have pages for the four of the churches but hope to add the other churches in the future.
